Schedules and Dress Code
Why Dance?? Our classes are excellent for the student to learn how to be in a social environment with other children while having fun. Our classes will enable the student to improve on their self esteem, confidence, coordination, rhythm, and poise. Our classes will also help younger students improve on his or her listing skills, as well as learning how to share and take turns with others. Whether you are interested in recreational dance class or our competitive dance or cheer teams, we believe we have the class for you.
TUMBLING TOTS
(Ages 2 1/2 - 4) 30 Min. Class
The Tumbling Tots Class
includes: stretching, small and large motor skills, mat
work, mini balance beam, mini trampoline, obstacle course,
and basic tumbling.
PRE-DANCE COMBO (LEVEL I)
(Ages 3-6) 1 Hour Class This class includes: 20 minutes of Pre-Tap Technique, 20 minutes of Pre-Ballet Technique, and 20 minutes of Basic Tumbling. These classes are designed to give the student a fun and exciting first, dance experience.
PRE- BALLET/LYRICAL
(Ages 4-6) 30 min. Class
Students will learn Pre-Ballet technique that will be combined with Pre-Lyrical technique. The Pre-Ballet class is designed for the younger ballet student who wants to be a ballerina when they grow up.
PRE-JAZZ / HIP HOP
(Ages 4-6) 30 min. Class
This class is for younger students who wish
to learn jazz and hip hop. Students will begin with a
warm-up and stretch, followed by pre-jazz and hip hop
combinations .
PRE-DANCE COMBO (LEVEL II)
(Ages 4-6 ½ ) 1 Hour Class
This class includes: 20 minutes of Pre-Tap Technique, 20 minutes of Pre-Ballet Technique, and 20 minutes of Basic Tumbling. All students must have completed Pre-Dance Combo Level I to register for this class.
PRE-DANCE COMBO (LEVEL III)
(Ages 5-7) 1 Hour Class
This class includes: 20 minutes of Pre-Tap Technique, 20 minutes of Pre-Ballet Technique, and 20 minutes of Basic Tumbling. This class will expand on knowledge, rhythm, and difficulty. All students must have completed Pre-Dance Combo Level II to register for this class.
CHEER-PREP
(Ages 5 and up) 1 hour Class
All cheer-prep classes will
include: warm-up, stretching, jumps, cheers, sidelines and
mini cheer routine.
DANCE TEAM
(Ages 8 and up) 1 1/2 Hour Class
The Dance Team routine is a
combination of Jazz, Hip Hop and Pom Pom. The Dance Team
will attend 3 – 4 local competitions this year. No
auditions are required. All students must have 2 – 3 years
prior dance experience. No extra classes are required. The
class will meet for 1 1/2 hours, once a week. All students
must have excellent attendance to weekly classes. Excessive
absences will not be tolerated. All Dance Team Members must
attend a mandatory dress rehearsal in January or February.
You will be required to purchase a Dance Team T-shirt and
shorts, Team Warm-up Suit, your performance costume, pom
poms, shoes, and make-up kit. You will be required to pay
your entry fee to each competition. The approximate cost per
competition, per student is between $40.00 & $50.00.
(Classes will be determined by ability, not necessarily by
age.)
PRIMARY CLASSES –
BEG.
(Ages 7-8-9) 45 Min. Class
Primary Beginning Level Tap, Jazz, and Ballet/Lyrical classes will include: stretching, warm-up, basic tap, jazz, and Ballet/Lyrical technique. This level is for the beginner student and all students who have completed the Pre-Dance Levels.
PRIMARY CLASSES –
INT.
(Ages 7-8-9) 45 Min. Class
All Primary Intermediate
Level Tap, Jazz, and Ballet/Lyrical classes will include:
stretching, warm-up, and intermediate dance technique. This
level is for the intermediate student . All students must
have completed level I to register for these classes. (The
Ballet/Lyrical Class is an Int/Adv. Class) PRIMARY
CLASSES – INT/ADV.
(Ages 7-8-9) 45 Min. Class
All Primary Int. / Adv. Level
Tap, Jazz, and Ballet/Lyrical classes will include:
stretching, warm-up, and Int. / Adv. dance technique. This
level is for the int. / Adv. student . All students must
have completed level II to register for these classes. (The
Ballet/Lyrical Class is an Int/Adv. Class) PRIMARY HIP HOP CLASSES
(Ages 7-8-9) 45 Min. Class
These classes will include basic hip-hop moves and combinations for all ability levels. Learn how to dance like the people in the music videos. This class is for girls and boys.
PRE-TEEN / TEEN – BEG.
(Ages 10 and up)
Pre-Teen / Teen Beginner Level Tap, Jazz, Lyrical and Hip Hop classes will include: stretching, warm-up, and basic Beginner dance technique. This level is for the beginner student.
PRE-TEEN / TEEN – INT.
(Ages 10 and up)
Pre-Teen / Teen Intermediate Level Tap, Jazz , Lyrical and Hip Hop classes will include: stretching, warm-up, and intermediate dance technique. This level is for the intermediate student. Students must have completed the Primary Intermediate level or the Pre-Teen / Teen Beginner Level to register for this class.
PRE-TEEN / TEEN – ADV.
(Ages 10 and up)
Pre-Teen / Teen Advanced Level Tap, Jazz, Lyrical and Hip Hop classes will include: stretching, warm-up, and advanced dance technique. This level is for the advanced student. All students must be pre approved for this class.

DRESS CODE
Center Stage will once again be enforcing a “Dress Code” for this dance season. All Primary, Pre-Teen / Teen students need to wear to class “Center Stage Dance Wear” or solid black dance attire. You will be able to purchase the Center Stage Wear at our Open House and Registration for a very reasonable price. Students that come to class not in dress code, will be asked to have their parents bring them the proper attire.
All short hair must be secured back off the face. All long hair must be secured in a pony-tail, bun, or braid. Absolutely no T-shirts, or jeans permitted. All shorts must be dance shorts. Proper shoes must be worn to all classes. Jewelry should not be worn to class. All tap shoes must have buckles or elastic bands. NO STRINGS PLEASE.
PRE-DANCE CLASS DRESS CODE
Students may wear any color leotard to class. Tights should be worn to all classes.
Tap - White tap shoes (no strings please)
Ballet - Pink ballet slippers
Tumbling - Use ballet slippers or socks
Jazz – Tan jazz shoes
Hip Hop – Black hip hop sneakers
PRIMARY & PRE-TEEN / TEEN DRESS CODE
Students need to wear “Center Stage Wear” or solid black dance attire to all classes. Tights should be worn to all classes.
Tap - Tan tap shoes (No strings please)
Ballet - Pink ballet slippers
Jazz - All Leather, Tan Jazz Shoe
Hip Hop - Black hip hop sneaker
Lyrical - Tan lyrical sandal
HIP HOP DRESS CODE
All students need to wear a “Center Stage Wear” or solid black dance attire. T-shirts should not be worn. Dance Pants or Dance shorts are permitted. NO JEANS!!
MALE DRESS CODE
All male students need to wear black dance, sweat, or wind pants with white T-shirt. No jeans permitted. Proper Shoes.
